Web Design II is a year-long class. Apply past knowledge to the day to day operation of the school’s web sites and live web sites. Students simulate a real world business environment to create and manage sites. Advanced languages, server technologies and CMS’s will be explored.
Prerequisite: Web Page Design I

Web Design I is a year-long class. Beginning and intermediate level web design processes will be explored while utilizing a variety of software, web applications, and languages such as HTML and CSS. The Adobe CS 5.5 Suite is explored along with web authoring programs.

Can I take semester of Web?
Web Design is a full year course worth 1 credit. Taking only 1 semester is not an option.

Is Web Design an art credit?
Web design is an art credit for Lakota West High School and will count towards graduation. However, it does not meet the college requirements for an art credit. See your counselor for more details.

Do we need special software at home?
NO!!! All work will be done at school with the school's equipment and software.

Do I need to be a great artist?
No! there are many aspects to web design and Multimedia. Everyone brings different pieces to the puzzle.
